Rootcode debuts Lanka’s first ever Tech-Triathlon combining engineering, design and AI
Rootcode, a global software engineering company committed to building great tech, is hosting Sri Lanka’s first-ever Tech-Triathlon, a competition that combines Engineering, User Experience (UX), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to upskill the next generation and foster a strong tech community in the country.
The competition received 1,180 registered participants from students all over the island. The aim of the Tech-Triathlon is to provide a platform where tech enthusiasts get to experience how modern products are built and also compete to win the title.
The first stage is a designathon, where participants will design a solution to the given challenge. The next stage is a hackathon, where they will develop a part of a software application, and then in the third stage, datathon, participants will tackle a data and AI challenge. Winners will be chosen based on their combined performance in all three stages.
A grand finale and awards ceremony will be held to celebrate the winners of the Tech-Triathlon on the 2nd of September, where the finalist teams will present their solution to a panel of judges from Rootcode, and the winners will be crowned.
Rootcode has also prepared exciting prize pools to reward the Tech-Triathlon winners, where the winning team will receive a cash prize of LKR 500,000, while the first runners-up will be awarded LKR 200,000, and the second runners-up will receive LKR 100,000.
Apart from the cash prizes, winners will also get a chance to receive consultation from the Rootcode team on how to win in their careers. Winning teams of the Tech-triathlon will also have the opportunity to be fast-tracked for their internships. Additionally, it will go on to recognize the teams’ achievements, and their work will be spotlighted on their Tech-Triathlon website.
