Roof of new Manning Market designed as an iconic landmark

With the recent opening of the new Manning Market with modern facilities and amenities to consumers and the business community, the roof of the building complex was of significance as it was specially designed by the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) and built and installed by Metecno Lanka Private Limited.

The Peliyagoda complex was constructed under UDA and CECB supervision with MAGA Engineering as its main contractor. Metecno Lanka was assigned to manufacture, supply and install the specially designed curved roof.

“Due to the unique design of the shopping complex, we used technologically advanced GLAMET Polyurethane Sandwich Panels with a thickness of 60mm. We were able to accomplish the task due to the dedication of our specially trained engineers and technicians who were able to complete the project on the specified high standards within the given time”, he said.
