Road mishap lands dance troupe in hospital

Eleven people were injured, on Sunday morning, when a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree in Hali-Ela, Badulla. Police said they believed that the driver of the vehicle had fallen asleep at the wheel.

The police said that those travelling in the vehicle were members of a dance troupe and among the wounded were eight girls and two boys aged between 18 and 20.The driver, too, was injured. All the victims were admitted to the Badulla General Hospital.
