Richmond record eighth win to complete first round

Richmond beat Gurukula by 62 runs to register their eighth consecutive victory to complete the first round as champions of their group in the Under 19 Division I Limited overs tournament on Monday.

Malsha Tharupathi excelled for the winners with good all-round performances as Richmond completed the group stage unbeaten.

Meanwhile, Mahanama pulled off an exciting one wicket victory over Nalanda to complete their group stage matches as champions.

It was their sixth victory of the tournament.

In the other matches played on Monday, St. Anthony’s Wattala, Dharmapala, Thurstan and Maliyadeva registered victories.
