Revised draft bill of the Anti – Terrorist Act to be gazetted

The Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to the resolution furnished by the Minister of Justice, Prison Activities and Constitutional Reforms to publish the revised draft bill of the Anti Terrorist Act (which was initially published in the government gazette on 22-03-2023) in the government gazette and  submit the same to the Parliament.

The Anti Terrorist Act repeals the Prevention of Terrorism Act. It was necessary to revise the draft bill published in the  government gazette of 22-03-2023 as a number of parties expressed their concern regarding certain sections of the draft bill.
