Resurgence of the Covid-19 virus: Who is responsible?

Published

on

‘Origin of current Covid-19 wave’, and ‘Mystery of latest Covid-19 cluster and its origins’ are the titles of two articles published in The Island newspaper of October 19, 2020.

Perusing the above-mentioned articles makes me have a different perspective to the saying that all people commit sins and make mistakes. God forgives them, and people are acting in a god-like (divine) way when they forgive. Which I believe is found in ‘An Essay on Criticism’ by Alexander Pope.

In the context of the current predicament we are embroiled in the owing to the resounding resurgence of Covid-19 virus, one could say people may make mistakes and surely God will forgive them and all reasonable people as well. But if those who make mistakes try to cover them up and not admit their lapses, they will not only have peoples’ indignation, but God’s wrath on them as well.

Hence, whosoever is responsible for this current Covid-19 wave, be aware that one may be able to deceive man but not God!
