Reporting for duty taboo for tri-forces, civil defence personnel living in Minuwangoda, Divulapitiya

All tri-forces and civil defence personnel living in Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya had been asked not to report for duty until further notice, Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Shavendra Silva yesterday said.

This order applies to all security personnel living in the Gampaha District as well.

The CDS has also ordered the commanders of military camps not to allow military personnel from those areas to return home.

The Mahara and Negombo Prisons will not be open for visitors until further notice.
