A grand adventure, a cultural odyssey, and an oasis of tranquillity in the scenic Eastern part of Sri Lanka awaiting to be explored, Sun Siyam Pasikudah, part of the Maldivian-owned hospitality brand Sun SIyam Resorts participated at the recent Sancharaka Udawa 2024 trade show, receiving an overwhelming response from industry visitors.

Sancharaka Udawa ‘The Travel & Tourism Fair’ 2024 in its eleventh edition was organized by the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) with its main event partner, Sri Lanka Tourism. The two-day event held on 17-18 May drew over 10,000 attendees with over 500 exhibitors from across various regions in the island.

The boutique five-star retreat had two stalls C169 and C176 combined, with a build and interior that resonates well with the resort, giving visitors a warm Sun Siyam welcome.

‘We are thrilled to have made our presence at Sancharaka Udawa for the first time, joining hands together with others in the industry in an effort to elevate and promote our country’s unique offerings to guests from all over the world. We wanted to bring in the Eastern hospitality experience and we certainly did so,’ said its General Manager, Arshed Refai.

Sun Siyam Pasikudah reopened its doors on November last year after having undergone an extensive transformation and renovation. The resort used locally sourced and made products, showcasing their collaboration with local artisans and communities to create bespoke furniture, chandeliers and joinery items. Together with its designers, Studio Sixty7, the resort was revamped with bold monochromatic interiors balanced with rich golden tones creating a unique, sophisticated, and chic interior on the magnificent and vibrant coastline of Pasikudah.

Sun Siyam Pasikudah features 34 spacious and contemporary one-to-two-bedroom garden and beach pavilions, with an infinity pool, karaoke, spa, tennis and badminton court, and a host of other local culture and sailing activities. Guests can also opt in for a private dining under the stars, visit the Tea House for some tea tasting or The Cellar for a range of wine collection, indulge in its Slice & Grill for poolside dining, or the Beach Shack for tropical drinks with a touch of Caribbean flare.
