Religious leaders appeal for calm

Ven. Omalpe Sobitha has declared that the public wouldn’t care for the promulgation of emergency and indefinite curfew.

Ven. Thera said so at Galle Face, where he, along with Archbishop of Colombo Rt. Rev. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, appealed for calm.

Ven. Omalpe Thera said that all Rajapaksas, including President Gotabaya Rajapaksa should leave office.
