Rehabilitation Pains
By Lynn Ockersz
It isn’t so much the fuming men,
Desperate for their daily fix,
And turning violent now and then,
Who render rehab a danger zone,
Fraught with increasing risks,
But the Sires atop the power ladder,
Who mistake the wood for the trees,
And don’t see sense in the theory,
That if there are hard drugs aplenty,
It’s because the demand for them,
Is spiraling amid conditions depressing;
Pointing to the fact that the mind,
Is crying out for enlightened handling.
