Regional tsunami simulation exercise today

Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapakse yesterday (03) announced in Parliament that a regional tsunami simulation exercise would be conducted today (04) to evaluate the national to village-level tsunami early warning dissemination mechanisms established by the Disaster Management Centre and to test the preparedness level of coastal communities and school children in Trincomalee, Galle and Matara districts.
