Recreating nostalgia…in Dubai

Our local artistes, who are adapt at doing the Sinhala hits, of the Golden Oldies period, are still very much in demand, overseas, especially in the Middle East, and Australia, as well.

It’s nostalgia what Sri Lankans, abroad, are looking for, when it comes to music, and that’s going to be the scene, on Saturday, January 28th, at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, in Dubai.

‘Golden Oldies of the ’70s…live in Dubai’, will feature Rajiv Sebastian, Annesley Malawana, Corrine Almeida, Indrani Perera, Anil Barathi and Vernon Perera, along with the band Downtown.

According to Rajiv, this event will take the form of a concert, starting at 7.00 pm., and the organisers, Sanhinda Events, are expecting a capacity crowd.

The artistes, from Sri Lanka, are scheduled to leave Colombo, for Dubai, on Thursday, January 26th, and will return on Sunday, January 29th.
