Rathana Thera ready for legal battle over NL slot

Defeated Gampaha district candidate Ven. Aturaliye Rathana Thera yesterday (13) told the media in Colombo that he had the power to decide on the National List seat for the Ape Jana Bala Party (AJBP.)

Rathana Thera said the party constitution had vested him with powers to do so.

However, the best way to solve the problem was to take it to court, he said.

Ven. Gnanasara sought countrywide support for him to secure National List slot after their Kurunegala nominations were rejected on technocal grounds. Ven. Gnanasara was on that list.
