Ranjan goes to SC to obtain ‘online benefits’ to study

Ranjan Ramanayake who is in jail for contempt of the Supreme Court has sought permission from the Supreme Court to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree course online while in jail..
The Supreme Court yesterday directed that he should seek the permission of the Commissioner of Prisons, and if there was a problem, to inform the Court on the next date of mention, on January 24, 2022.
