Chief Government Whip Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday (23) told Parliament that the IMF report on Sri Lanka would be submitted to Parliament soon. Gunawardena, who is the also the Education Minister and the MEP leader emphasised that he didn’t consider the delay on the part of the government to table the report in Parliament a violation of members’ privileges.

The Minister said so in response to UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe’s raising a privilege issue.

Minister Gunawardena said that the Finance Ministry had been asked to submit the report and it had agreed to do so.
