Ranil gone with Mahinda-sulanga

The recently conducted parliamentary election is a demonstration of the jathika chintanaya in action. There are many reasons for Ranil’s defeat, but the central issue is the conflict between jathika chintanaya and vijatika chintanaya. This can be further clarified by looking at the pohottuwa’s Colombo winning list, with Sarath Weerasekara literally coming from nowhere (i.e. Digamudulla via Geneva), Wimal Weerawasa and Udaya Gammumpilla placed at the top. Thus, one can say that Ranil was mainly swept away by jatika chintanaya via Mahinda-sulanga.
