Dinara, Apna win singles titles

Dinara de Silva and Apna Perera won the women’s and men’s singles titles respectively of the Queen’s Club Tennis Championships held at the Queen’s Club Tennis courts.

Dinara beat Zajida Razick 6-4, 6-3 in the women’s final after eliminating Hasali Gajaba 6-1, 6-3 (semi-final) and Oneli Samarawickrama 6-1, 6-0 (quarter-final) during the business end of the tournament.

Apna beat Chathurya Nilaweera 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 in the five-set men’s titles clash. Apna beat Lisal Goonetileke 6-2, 6-2 (semi-final) and Luka Knese 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 (quarter-final) on his way to the men’s final.
