Putin sends his good wishes

President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin has wished his Sri Lankan counterpart, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the latter’s 73rd Independence Day, which fell on 04 February.

Putin said that the relations between Russia and Sri Lanka are of traditionally friendly nature and that he is confident that the further development of the constructive bilateral cooperation in the various fields fully meets the interests of the people of both nations and is in line with the strengthening of the regional stability and security.

“I wish you, Mr. President, good health and every success, and to all your fellow citizens – well-being and prosperity,” Putin said.
