Jewellery is empowering, it brings joy, inspires emotions and elevates the spirit like no other. It is all about inspiring beautifully crafted jewels with longevity; works of art that are proudly worn, loved and treasured from one generation to another. As a jeweller with no formal training, Pushpika has built her brand PJ with a defined vision.

Pushpika de Silva Mrs. Sri Lanka World 2021, for Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2011 the CEO of Pushpika de Silva jewellery had a grand opening of her Jewellery Store PJ recently at the Havelock City amidst a large gathering of celebrities, socialites and beauticians. There was aura of glitter and glamour when Pushpika walked in to the store attired in white making a fashion statement.

A self taught designer, she decided to pursue her life long passion for jewellery, launching her own line namely PJ. Today she producers a range of unique and contemporary unique pieces of gold jewellery,diamonds and coloured stones. “I was always drawn to anything that is beautiful and soon my passion turned into business. Today its a milestone moment to realise my dream. I just love the intimate process and the creative journey that I am able to take my clients on”

Coming from a business background it was easy for Pushpika to take up to jewellery business. I’m so lucky to have such a top client base, and regardless of how the business has grown. I will always remain very accessible to my clients, whom I have built close relationships with many of them over the years.

What makes her jewellery stand out from other jewellers?

I create jewellery to be worn and enjoyed, every day by every woman.

Bridal Jewellery will be my next forte. I have always been inspired by the individual beauty and elegance of women, I am hoping to manufacture jewellery for brides too, with every attention to detail, each piece of this jewellery will reflect the personality and natural beauty of a bride who will wear them.

Toughest Challenges?

I always had a positive responses to my work and a bold youthful look . My personality has helped me to overcome any obstacles. It takes strength of character and great tenacity to keep going but i know i will never going to give on my dreams and passion!

Pushspika spoke with an easy intelligence about all aspects of jewellery, she said she can accurately guess the ring sizes and knows the value of a chain just by holding it. Her natural curiosity about the items she found surrounded by day in and out lead to become completely self taught in the language of jewellery.
