Protest against Ranil near judges’ entrance to superior courts
By Chitra Weerarathne
A group of persons held a silent protest against Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe near the Judges’ entrance to the Superior Courts Complex in Hulftsdorp yesterday.
They held placards which said the appointment of Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Acting President was unlawful since he had not been elected by the people.
A person who polled 6.9 million votes had been ousted and another who was rejected by the people had been appointed the Acting President.
The protesters, however, did not indicate the candidate of their choice for the post of the interim President
