Protest against private university medical degrees dispersed

Police yesterday (16) used water cannonto disperse protesting university students at Horton Place, Colombo 07.

Police intervened after University students launched a protest alleging government attempts to destroy free education. They said private universities shouldn’t be allowed to offer medical degrees.
