Promoted as Professor of Sociology

 Dr. Rameez Aboobucker, Arts Faculty Dean of South Eastern University, has been promoted as a Professor of Sociology by the UGC.

He is the second alumnus of SEUSL to have been promoted as a Professor. He has been promoted at the age of 42.

He holds a first class degree in Sociology from SEUSL and an M. Phil from University of Peradeniya and a Ph.D from the prestigious National University of Singapore.
