Prince charming…

Generally, in ‘Scene Around,’ the girls dominate my pages, but we do have the guys, making their presence felt, as well…not too often, though.

I refer to him as ‘prince charming’ because Ravindu Rajasekara, an upcoming model and an aspiring actor, from Belleszaa Models Agency, bagged the coveted title of Derana New Year Prince competition 2021, organized by Derana TV – adhering to all the health regulations.

It was an indoor event, not open to the public, and was shown on TV.

Ravindu has worked his way, to prominence, from 2011 – doing numerous TV commercials, fashion shoots for various magazines, and fashion shows.

His repertoire of work has also taken him into the field of music videos, involving many local artistes.

A past pupil of Ananda College, Colombo 10 – having had his primary education at St. Francis Maha Vidyalaya, Kelaniya – Ravindu has garnered many accolades in his educational career, and sports alike, during his school years.

Hailing from a family, with a business background, Ravindu’s passion was into pharmaceutical studies, where he graduated with flying colours.

In the fashion scene, Ravindu has been associated with big designer names, like Chulo (of international designer Shanith Fernando), Inspire label, and Shannon Angelo, to name a few.

There is every indication that this charming, down-to-earth ambitious actor/model will reach his pinnacle in the future, as much as he emerged victorious as the Derana New Year Prince 2021, and also the Handsome Face mini title, under the training of designer/model trainer Shanith Fernando, of Belleszaa Models Agency.

Perhaps, we would see Ravindu more often in the pages of ‘Scene Around’…no sooner all his dreams become a reality!
