Prevention of terrorism draft bill to be presented in Parliament

Approval of the Cabinet of Ministers has been granted to the resolution submitted by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms  to introduce a new act to re – impose the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act No. 48 of 1979 which is already in force.

Clearance of the Attorney General has been granted for the bill drafted by the Legal Draftsman. It is to be published in the government gazette notification and forward to the Parliament.
