President tells Singapore PM that SL will prioritise implementing FTA
President Ranil Wickremesinghe pledged to prioritise the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement with Singapore, during his meeting with Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong in Tokyo on Tuesday.
The President’s Media Division (PMD) said that PM Loong said Singapore is looking forward to investing in Sri Lanka again.
During the meeting President Wickremesinghe informed the Singaporean Prime Minister that an international trade office is being established in the President’s office.
Prime Minister Loong welcomed the news and stated that his country was looking forward to investing in Sri Lanka once again.
President Wickremesinghe also invited the Singaporean Prime Minister to visit Sri Lanka next year when the country celebrates its 75th Independence Anniversary. (RK)
