President holds bilateral discussions with state leaders during NAM in Kampala

President Ranil Wickremesinghe held bilateral talks with Vice President of the Republic of Benin Mariam Chabi Talata Zime Yerima on Friday (19) (PMD)

President Ranil Wickremesinghe participated in bilateral discussions with various leaders and representatives from Global South countries in the African region on Friday (19), on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Nations Conference held in Kampala, Uganda.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Tanzania’s Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, Bahamas Prime Minister Philip E. Davis, Vice President of the Republic of Benin Mariam Chabi Talata Zime Yerima and Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed.

Minister of Foreign Affairs,  Ali Sabry PC, Minister of State Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, Members of Parliament Mr. Kings Nelson,  Nimal Piyatissa, Kumarasiri Ratnayake, Udayakantha Gunathilake, President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake and President’s Senior Adviser on Climate Change Ruwan Wijewardene were also present at the discussions.
