Pre-budget discussion on economic stability

NextGenSL, in partnership with Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, has organised a pre-budget discussion titled ‘Budget 2022: Sri Lanka’s Path to Economic Stability.

The discussion will take place on October 21 (Thursday), from 6 pm onwards at the Ivy Room, Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, and will focus on finding ways to stabilise and strengthen the Sri Lankan economy through meaningful reforms before Budget 2022 is presented to Parliament next month.

Justus Lenz, Policy Advisor for Economic and Financial Affairs at the Liberal Institute, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom’s think tank, will deliver the keynote speech at the event. A panel discussion featuring Prof. Sirimal Abeyratne, MP Mayantha Dissanayake, Sanjaya Mohottala (Chairman, Board of Investments) and Justus Lenz will take place afterwards. Sathya Karunarathne of the Advocata Institute will moderate the discussion.
