Police SC edge out Army SC 15-14

Police SC kept their chances alive with a thrilling 15-14 victory over Army SC in their SLR Nippon Paint Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament Plate Championship match played at the Police Park yesterday.

 Police SC scored a goal and a try through Heshan Thilakarathna and Prince Chamara, who also fired across a vital drop goal in the second half to seal the contest in their favour after the scores were 7-7 at half time.

 Ijaz Ahmed and Manoj Kumara scored a try each for Army SC with Chamath Fernando adding the extra points.
