Police play exhibition basketball games in Trinco

Lead up to the upcoming basketball season, Sri Lanka Police basketball team featured in some exhibition games at St. Joseph’s College in Trincomalee.

While Police beat Trincomalee Basketball Association 64-37, Police over 40 team beat Trincomalee District over 40 team 47-44.

Trincomalee is a strong up-and-coming basketball team having excelled in junior nationals recently.

The two games created lot of interest among locals as the Police over 40 team comprised several former Sri Lanka players.

Ahead of the season Police basketball secretary SSP Prasanna Brahamana and Chairman Senior DIG Sanjeewa Dharmaratne are doing lot of planning.
