Platinum Award for Best CEO goes to company with humble beginnings

R S Wickramasinghe & Co, a trusted name in the field of construction, reaffirmed its excellence at the Business World International Awards, by winning the Platinum Award for Best CEO of the Year in the large scale construction category.

Organized by Business World International, the awards ceremony was held under the patronage of Irrigation Minister Chamal Rajapaksa, former president Maithripala Sirisena and former minister Arjuna Ranatunga at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo recently.

“Our company has a very humble beginning. My father, Ranjith Sunil Wickramasinghe, founded this business in 2002 as a stone crushing plant with only four employees. Since then the company has seen a rapid growth as a result of the quality of our service.

This award marks a significant milestone in our journey”, said Dilantha Rukshan Wickramasinghe, CEO/MD of R S Wickramasinghe & Co., which has expanded its factory network to Kalutara, Giriulla, Vavuniya, Wadakada and Kebithigollewa. In addition, the Company has extended its business network across a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, seafood and engineering.
