Plans to construct a house for each Grama Niladhari Division and an adjacent business

Nimal Lanza, State Minister for Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure said that it is planned to construct a house and business premises adjacent to one of the selected roads in 14,022 Grama Niladhari Divisions of the country under the National 100,000 km Development Program.

State Minister, Nimal Lanza expressed these views at the inauguration of a road development project in the Gampaha electorate recently.

Speaking further State Minister, Nimal Lanza said,

‘While Implementing the “Vision for Prosperity” program presented by His Excellency President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa,with a focus on rural infrastructure development and the upliftment of the rural economy, this program is being implemented on the instructions of the Head of the Presidential Special Task Force for economic revival and poverty eradication Basil Rajapaksa.

‘The ‘Vision of Prosperity’ program aims to develop rural infrastructure and uplift the economy of the low income earners and by implementing this it will be possible to increase the economy of 14,022 families.

‘It is planned to implement this program jointly with the Ministry of Highways, the State Ministry of Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure, the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction, the ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Samurdhi and other Ministries and Institutions.’

People expected a secure country from His Excellency the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has taken steps to ensure national security and create a safe country for the people. Unexpectedly, we had to face the Covid 19 challenge. The government took all possible measures to control it, giving priority to this. State Minister, Nimal Lansa further stated that in the next four years, we will successfully address this situation and make the “Vision of Prosperity” a reality through the development of the rural economy and infrastructure.
