Pipe-borne water for 100 families in Mee Ella and Pananawela villages

 The Mee Ella-Pananwela community water supply scheme, which benefits over one hundred families residing in the Badabadda, Mee Ella, Pananwela East, Pananwela West and Kanumuldeniya villages in the Hakmana Divisional Secretariat division, was commissioned recently.

Former District Secretary, Matara, Y Wickremasiri during whose tenure the water supply scheme was launched was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony.

The scheme was funded by the Lyca Gnanam Foundation in collaboration with the Department of National Community Water Supply Department.
