Petes favourites against Thurstan in the final

Under 19 Division I Tier ‘B’ Cricket Final

St. Peter’s captained by Wanuja Kumara are the favourites when the unbeaten team meet Thurstan in the Under 19 Division I Tier ‘B’ Final at the Police Park ground in Colombo today.

After reaching the knockout stage with five victories against their name Petes produced some strong performances to live up to their reputation as the favourites.

The Petes eliminated defending champions Mahinda in the quarter-final before beating Isipatana in the semi-final.

Thurstan under the captaincy of Bhawantha Jayasinghe reached the knockout stage after beating Ananda, Zahira and Dharmasoka. They beat Lumbini and Maris Stella during the crucial knockout phase.
