Peradeniya placed among world’s top 500 universities

KANDY – The University of Peradeniya has been ranked among the world’s top 500 universities for the third consecutive year and the number one university in Sri Lanka according to Times Higher Education Ranking 2022.
A news release announcing the achievement from the Public Relations Office of the University of Peradeniya states: “Times Higher World University rankings provide the definitive list of the world’s best universities with an emphasis on the research mission. It is the only global university league table to judge research -intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching (the learning environment), research (volume, income and reputation), citations (research, influence), industry income (knowledge transfer), and international outlook (staff, students and research).
Times Higher Education has been using thirteen carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balance comparisons trusted by students, academia, university leaders, industry and government.”
