People’s Bank grants loans in Moratuwa to uplift fishing community

People’s Bank held a ceremony at their Moratuwa branch auditorium to distribute Aswenna loans, a unique product launched to support the Government’s development programme to create a self sufficient nation. The event was participated by the presence of People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse and Chief Executive Officer / General Manager Ranjith Kodituwakku.

The loans were granted to customers engaged in the fishing industry to purchase multi-day and single-day boats, nets and other tools as well as for ice manufacturing.
