PCoI summons Rajitha, Hesha

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing incidents of political victimisation yesterday issued notices on former Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne and Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Hesha Withanage.

Former Minister Dr Senaratne and MP Withanage were asked to appear before the PCoI on Sept 03.

In June, Dr Senaratne appeared before the PCoI to testify as regards a complaint filed by Chairman of Avant-Garde Security Services Nisanka Senadhipathi.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appointed the high-powered PCoI in January 2020 to investigate allegations of political victimisation as well as interference with the judiciary and police during the last regime.
