Pathfinder Foundation, all publications are made available free
Since its inception the Pathfinder Foundation and its associated institutions have on a regular basis published original works and translations in Sinhala of texts that could assist a Sinhala speaking audience to better understand the different facets and nuances relating to international affairs, geopolitics, international economics, international law, etc.
Continuing this tradition, during 2023, the Pathfinder Foundation published a Sinhala translation of the seminal book by Indian author and political leader Jairam Ramesh, “The Light of Asia – The Poem that Defined the Buddha,’ which was translated by Niluka Kadurugamuwa, award-winning translator and diplomat. This year the Pathfinder Foundation also published a definitive biography of Sri Lankan statesman and first Sri Lankan representative to India. Sir D.B. Jayatillaka entitled ‘Baron: Magaerunu Maga’ by senior journalist Lakshman Piyasena.
The Pathfinder Foundation has also received the rights to translate and publish into Sinhala the best-selling and insightful book, ‘The India Way: Strategies for an Uncertain World,’ by Indian External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar. The translation is expected to be launched in 2024. In the past, the Foundation has also published the Sinhala translation by the late Sunethra Siriwardena of ‘Samudramanthan: Sino-Indian Rivalry in the Indo-Pacific’ written by the leading Indian strategic analyst and academic C. Raja Mohan. As is the practice of the Pathfinder Foundation, all publications are made available free of charge to centres of learning, libraries, universities, scholars and students.
