Party leaders invited to parliament Business Committee meeting

The leaders of the political parties represented in Parliament have been invited to attend a special meeting of Parliament’s Business Committee to be held at the Speaker’s Office in the Parliamentary complex on Thursday, parliament sources said.

The party leaders are expected to decide on the bills to be taken and the time allocations for the debates to be held during the next sitting week starting from 25 April, parliament sources said, adding that the meeting would be chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and it is scheduled to commence at 11 am on Thursday (20).
