Part of the stock of cannabis

A haul of 34 kilos of Kerala cannabis was seized by the Navy in a recent operation on the Pungudutivu Island, in Jaffna. The cannabis was estimated to be worth over Rs. 13 million, was seized during a naval operation carried out on Monday (15). The consignment of Kerala cannabis was found in 16 parcels inside a sack hidden in the shrubs in the vicinity of the beach. The haul of Kerala cannabis would remain in the custody of the Navy until it is handed over to the relevant authorities for onward legal action.
