Overseas travel bans on MR, BR lifted

The Supreme Court yesterday (22) lifted the travel ban imposed on former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa. It said the ban would not be effective further. Travel bans were imposed following the Fundamental Rights petitions filed over alleged financial irregularities and mismanagement of the Sri Lanka economy leading to the current crisis.
