Over the moon…
Sohan Weerasinghe certainly has lots to shout about, and celebrate, as well.
He is in Canada, at the moment, on an assignment as a singer/entertainer. However, he is also celebrating another special occasion – Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket team’s historic 2-1 series victory over England, in England.
Says Sohan: “I am so happy as my son Darshan Weerasinghe, is part of the coaching staff and is in London with the team.”
And, on the music side, Sohan has plenty to shout about, as well, and it’s all connected with foreign assignments…probably another historic achievement!
He is now out of the country … more than in the country.
This year, he has already ventured out several times and is now in Canada, in Toronto, for S. Thomas’ College OBA Canada Dinner Dance, to be held on 16th September at the Scarborough Convention Centre.
On 14th October, he will be in the UK for Trinity College Kandy Old Boys’ Association UK ‘Dinner Dance with Sohan’ at Thistle Hotel.
In December, he will be seen in action at ‘Christmas Bells 2023’, presented by the Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya Past Pupils’ Association (AUST) Inc., to be held on 9th December, in Melbourne, Australia.
Sydney, too, will have the presence of Sohan, at the ‘Family Fun X’mas Get Together’, on 16th December, at the Pennat Hills Community Centre.
And then the big event, the New Year’s Eve Dinner dance, at The Grand On Princes, Melbourne, Australia.
According to Sohan, there’s more to follow!
