Organic food

Organic foods are available in many countries, and customers prefer them to the inorganic ones. This trend is great as people show concern about what they eat and how they are grown. You may find THE same products as organic and chemically cultivated but organic foods are somewhat expensive. There are reasons why organic food is expensive. Chemicals kill insects easily while help plants grow fast but those who grow vegetables, using organic manure, have to do the weeding themselves or employing some to do it. This is an extra expense.

How can you be sure that what you buy as organic is really organic? This is done by certification in developed countries. Those who claim that they do organic cultivation have to get certified.

The authorities concerned come to such farms suddenly. Soil samples around plants are taken for lab testing. Leaves and some vegetables also are taken for testing several times a year. People are happy about this certification process that their food is really organic. Chemically treated plants grow well and fast. Their leaves are not damaged by insects but organic plants grow slowly and their leaves can be seen damaged by some insects. We prefer organic foods to the ones that look good thanks to harmful chemicals.
