Opposition Leader asks govt. if there is terrorist threat
Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa on Friday asked the government to inform Parliament whether the country was facing a terrorist threat.Quoting reports published in the state media, Premadasa said that given Sri Lanka’s past experience with terrorism, people need to know whether there is an imminent threat.
“The state-owned papers have said a suspect in jail for involvement with ISIS has divulged this fact. Do we have a threat or not? You need to tell Parliament on Friday, the last day of Parliament for the week,” he said.
