Operation ‘Yukthiya’ paused for Christmas and on 1st January- Minister of Public Security

Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles said that Operation  “Yukthiya”  which was initiated to put an end to drug trafficking and underworld activities in the country will be paused for three days during the upcoming festive season.

It is envisaged that the operation will not be carried out on Christmas Day (25 December), Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day (26 December) and 1st January.

The minister made the disclosure at a press conference held at the Presidential Media Center on Thursday (21).
