Sal Salgado, who is now based in Germany, is enjoying his showbiz career, in that part of the world.

In addition to the many special moments that came his way, in 2022, he also had the opportunity of ushering 2023 at a beautiful hotel, situated near a lake, in the state of Bayern, in Germany.

Sal says it was the first time he played at this particular hotel, and on 31st night he did the scene all by himself – no sharing the entertainment with DJs, etc.

It was totally a one-man show and Sal showed his versatility – singing, playing the guitar, keyboards, etc. – everything that was necessary to keep an enthusiastic crowd entertained, and, more so, when it’s a prestigious event…like welcoming a brand new year!

Sal was overjoyed with the final outcome. “I had a fantastic crowd. They began cheering me from the very beginning – the moment I stepped on stage and started with my opener, the Louis Armstrong classic ‘What A Wonderful World.’

“I kept them in the mood, right throughout the night, with a repertoire they loved, and enjoyed dancing to, and it included some German and Italian songs, as well.”

Although this 31st night bash was called ‘Back to the Seventies’, Sal says he also did songs from the ’60s, and ’80s, adding that he made sure to include hits from the ’90s, and some current music, too, as there were young people amongst the guests.

“Yes, the crowd included young ones, middle aged, and older people, and they all enjoyed the great variety of music I played. The dance flow was always full.”

Sal says he started playing romantic songs, around 11:40pm, “and I kept them on the dance floor till it was 12.00 midnight and then I did ‘Auld Lang Syne.’

“After wishing each other a Happy New Year, we had our champagne and the crowd went outside to see the fireworks display.

“They returned, after about 30 minutes, and I then continued, until 3.00 am, ending with Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way.’

“It was truly a memorable event for me.”

In December 2022, Sal won an American Global Music Award for his song ‘Happy Christmas Everyone’…his fifth American Global Music Award, in four years.

Sal says he is now looking forward to 2023 with great expectation, where his music career is concerned.
