One killed and another injured as van carrying eggs ram into stationary lorry

One person was killed while another was injured when a van transporting 30,000 eggs collided with a parked lorry at Mankulam on Thursday night.The lorry had been parked on the side of the road.

23-year-old S. Rameswaran, a resident of Kilinochchi was killed. He was travelling in the van transpoting eggs. All eggs were destroyed.Mankulam police said that there was fog in the area when the accident occurred. The driver of the van had not seen the parked lorry.
