On a roll…
Sarith, Surith & The News, along with entertainer par excellence Sohan Weerasinghe, are certainly on a roll on their tour of Canada and the States.
Their first four shows, in Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Houston, were all sold out events, and the reviews indicate that everyone has had a rocking good time.
Sohan had another surprise coming his way…in Los Angeles. He was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by T&S Productions, USA, who were responsible for the Los Angeles show.
Says Sohan: “We are on a roll, guys! Thank you, Los Angeles, for putting together an amazing show.”
Gigs in Toronto, Canada, and Washington D.C., and New York, will complete their Canada/US itinerary.
Sohan will then travel to Canada, for a vacation, before flying to London, to perform at a dance, and also being a guest judge at the Lankan Voice contest semi-finals in the UK, on 16th July, and then heading back to Colombo.
On 15th September, he will be in Toronto again for the Thomian dance, along with the Lanerolle brothers, backed by a band in Toronto, known as the Matrix band.
And his overseas gigs continue: 15th October, again to London for the Trinity dance, backed by a London band called Solid, and New Year’s Eve, in Melbourne, Australia, with Corrine and Clifford, backed by a band called Ebony.
Sohan also mentioned that he has a new original coming up, called ‘Sansaray’.
