Of Bread and Polls

The popular yearning,

Being blissfully by-passed,

By the Iron Fist regime,

And its Western patrons,

Is for purse-easy Bread,

And its even spread,

But there are no takers,

At the top of the system,

For this eternal cry,

From the bottom heap,

And what we have instead,

Is the escape strategy,

Of an impending poll,

Thus, treating the people,

To a sure recipe for division,

Which would render jubilant,

The whip-hand wielding top layer.
