North notches impressive vaccination scores

Over 62% of Northerners above 30 years had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, Regional Director of Health Services – Northern Province, A. Kethiswaran said yesterday.

According to Dr. Kethiswaran 657,547 Northerners had been vaccinated with at least one jab and 19.4% of them over 30 had received both jabs.

Mannar was the most vaccinated District in the North with 67.54% of those over 30 had been vaccinated there, and 63.7% of those over 30 in Mullaitivu District too had been given at least one dose, he said.
