Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickramanayake yesterday said that visas issued for the pilgrimage to Mecca would not be sold in the first place as in previous years and if anyone is subjected to such injustices, the victims are requested to complain to the Ministry immediately.

The Minister said this while attending the opening of the new office established in the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs from where the panel of officers of the Hajj Committee appointed to provide services to Muslims will operate.

The Minister told journalists that the newly set up office would provide the best possible services to Muslims who go on the Mecca Pilgrimage.
